You should not be immunised with Panvax H1N1 if you have experienced:
- anaphylaxis following a previous dose of any influenza vaccine
- anaphylaxis following any vaccine component, including the antibiotics neomycin and polymyxin
- severe allergy to eggs. This includes people who have experienced swelling of the lips or tongue or experienced acute breathing problems or convulsions following eating eggs. People who experience less severe allergic reactions to eating eggs should discuss the risks and benefits of getting Panvax® H1N1 vaccine with their health care provider.
Immunisation must be postponed in people who have a current febrile illness or acute infection.
- Infants under six months of age should not be immunised.
- Children aged from 6 months to under 10 years of age should not be immunised until the children’s vaccine is available
